Powers Overview
Speed & flexibility: While not superhuman by nature, Alex’s speed and flexibility are both on the very high end of the scale thanks to his past.
Knife-throwing: His precision and speed here are almost superhuman, though again not actually anything more than the product of his years of training.
Wire: By far the newest of Alex’s weaponising skillsets, he’s nonetheless able to combine his speed with spools of thin wire – typically razor wire – that he keeps on retractible apparatuses on left wrist and waist. The former is typically what he uses in a fight, the latter for mobility and versatility.
Controlled darkness: The ‘signature’ of Alex’s time spent at the Gemini facility. He can create a sphere of darkness of any size up to about 60’ in diameter. It operates as follows:- The sphere is effectively impenetrable by magic or abilities that allow one to see in the dark, as well as any attempts to light it. Effectively, Alessandre actively drains all of the light in the area of effect. His eyes, having their own glow, can be willed visible – Alex frequently uses this as a scare tactic.
- Alessandre (and Eli, as his Gemini Project partner) can see freely within Alex’s darkness.
- So long as there is a crack (be it a sliver missing or, for example, the bottom of a door), the sphere isn’t hindered by walls. It will seep under and wrap around the opposite side of anything Alex extends it past; this is just as plainly visible as the patch itself.
- The darkness affects those both inside and outside its radius – those outside will see nothing more than a patch of blackness.
- In addition to obviously canceling light, the darkness feels heavy, as if one were standing in a thick, black fog. This heaviness mutes roughly 70% of average noise both inside and out. The amount muted fluctuates, of course, based on the initial volume of the sound (if someone were to, say, attempt to use echolocation within the darkness, its effectiveness would be about half – similar to if you were trying to locate something in murky water). As a result, Alex himself is almost inaudible in any of his movements within his own darkness, save ones he intentionally makes louder. He can choose to make it feel more ‘thin’, thus canceling less noise.
- The sphere DOES NOT prevent anyone from feeling, smelling, or otherwise sensing him (or anyone/thing within its scope) in any manner outside of the above.
